In 2023, Dr Richard Stephens, Editor of the Walpole Society annual Volume, spoke at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art History, as part of the conference 'The Practice of Art History in Britain: 1900-60: Paul Oppés Art Worlds.'

Now, as he prepares to step down as Editor of the Walpole Society, Richard has recorded an episode of British Art Matters, the official podcast of the Berger Prize. In episode one of series two of the podcast, Richard speaks to Dr Christina Faraday, podcast host and Walpole Society trustee. They discussed the Society, and the role of Editor of the annual Volume, the longest-running publication in the field of British art history.
